To reduce the rising pollution level in Delhi during winters, the government has sought suggestions from BJP and Congress. Regarding this, Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai has written a letter to BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva and Congress state president Devendra Yadav.
The minister wrote in the letter that the pollution level in Delhi is decreasing due to the efforts of the government. From the year 2012-14 to 2021-23, the pollution level in Delhi has decreased by 45 percent. The government is working in this direction by making long-term and short-term plans. By making Summer Action Plan and Winter Action Plan, we were successful in reducing all pollution. Under the EV policy, people in Delhi are buying about 13 to 16 percent private electric vehicles. By guaranteeing 24-hour electricity, we took the smoke of generators out of Delhi. Apart from this, we increased the forest cover in Delhi.
